أجاثا كريستي (Agatha Christie) اغاثا كريستي أعظم مؤلفة روايات بوليسية في التاريخ حيث بيعت أكثر من مليار نسخة من رواياتها التي ترجمت لأكثر من 45 لغة.

أول رواياتها هي رواية ثلوج على الصحراء التي لم يقبلها أي من الناشرين. ألفت بعدها رواية أخرى وهي الجريمة الغامضة في ستايلز الذي ظهر فيها هرقيول(هرقل) بوارو (المحقق) للمرة الأولى وقد أدخلتها هذه القصة عالم الكتابة عندما قبلها أحد الناشرين بعد أن رفض ستة من الناشرين طباعة وتوزيع روايتها.
